Fenwick, Roly

Roly Fenwick was born in 1932 in Owen Sound, ON. After studying art under Alex Colville at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB, Fenwick moved to Toronto where he was the Art Director for Simpson’s/Sears. In 1968 Tony Urquhart was seeking professors for the University of Western Ontario’s visual arts department and hired Fenwick to be a painting & drawing professor. Fenwick remained at UWO until he retired in 1989, teaching countless students along with Paterson Ewen and Duncan de Kergommeaux. Since retiring, Fenwick has maintained a steady studio practice in London, ON and at his cottage in Big Bay, ON.

Hassan, Jamelie

Jamelie Hassan is a visual artist and activist based in London, Ontario. Since the 1970's, she has exhibited widely in Canada and internationally. She is also active as a lecturer, writer and independent curator and has travelled and worked globally.​In 2001 she received a Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts in recognition of her artistic achievement. Her activism, curatorial work and contributions to the artist-run centre movement in Canada were also mentioned by the jury in their statement.

Kelley, Brian

Brian Kelley's work has been seen by a wide audience across North America through the enormously successful posters made from his watercolour still lifes. In Canada, Kelley is known not only as a watercolourist but also as a superb printmaker with many years of experience in all major print media. He was published by PI Fine Art (formerly Posters International) beginning in the early 1980s.

Martin, Ron

Ron Martin was born in London, Ontario in 1943 where he set-up his first studio with Murray Favro. He was one of the original members of the Forest City Gallery and was influenced early in his career by Greg Curnoe. Ron Martin was one of a small group of painters in Canada that considered the act of creating a work a type of performance, which served to remind the viewer that their experience of a material object, such as a painting, was rooted in an experience of themselves.

Milton, Ron

​Born in London, Ontario, I recall drawing as a child on paper that my father brought home from work.  I studied printmaking and photography under Bert Kloezeman and Vivian Sturdee in the Specials Program of bealart, H. B. Beal Secondary School.  I was the first student to be given advanced standing into the Bachelor of Fine Arts second year at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, where I focused on printmaking, sculpture and drawing under David Silverberg and Tom Henderson.  My art has been exhibited in various locations across Canada.
